The site determines everything: a cliff overlooking the Pacific on the Biobío coast, exposed to wind and the raking afternoon light. The response is not to build on the hillside, but from it. The floor plan adopts an angular geometry that follows the contour lines and anchors to the terrain as a buttress. The volume is embedded in the slope, leaving the roof as a habitable fifth facade: native garden, swimming pool, deck, and circular skylights that illuminate interior spaces without piercing the silhouette. Toward the sea, the structure breaks free. A cantilevered concrete slab supports the main level—completely glazed—suspending it above the rock. Dry-stacked stone walls define the base and anchor the building to the ground in material and visual terms. A house that integrates with the hillside and that from within transforms the ocean into the absolute protagonist of every space.
