Quinchos
Built2024 · Los Bravos
The painted wooden lattice that runs across the facade acts as a filter: semi-transparent during the day, luminous at night, allowing visibility without exposure and providing protection without enclosure. The program is clearly divided: living area, dining room, kitchen, and bar succeed one another in a single volume without partitions. In the living area, a pyramidal dome in the ceiling concentrates the scale and marks the space with zenith light. In that same zone, the oxidized copper furniture—green, tactile, and prominent—is the only element of color in a neutral palette of concrete and wood; a piece that is unforgettable. The pool integrates at the level of the concrete floor, creating continuity between the interior of the quincho and the garden. At night the quincho glows, the lattice projects shadows onto the water, and the pool reflects everything.
